Onwards and Upwards

Nelson, BC

A month of planning and eight hours’ drive have brought us back into the B.C. interior to start the next leg of our Trans Canada epic. Four days of tough cycling and one easy one should take us from Christina Lake to Cranbrook – up and over the Kootenay mountains and into the foothills of the Rockies.

This is likely the last leg we will drive to – it’s just getting too far for a few days of riding. The journey covered ground we have already ridden – each hour underlining just how far our legs have pedalled.

Onwards and upwards. Literally.

We couldn’t decide between a cold beer float and a wine shake in Keremeos
We opted for scrumptious Thai salad rolls in the minute Secret Garden
Osoyoos – with its semi-desert sagebrush and vineyards
Delightful coffee stop in Greenwood
We’ll look like this if we ever finish the Trans Canada Trail!
