We’re finally back to our full complement of bikes after losing two to theft out of our garage last year. It’s taken months of searching to find a replacement for Gill’s gravel bike as there are just no bikes to be had in this pandemic.
The bike had to be brought in from the US, with some help from friends. It arrived in a box and had to be assembled … mistakes were made.
So now it’s time to put some kilometres in the legs and hours on the butts. And there’s the planning – hopefully once we are both double vaccinated and the prairies open up to visitors we will be able to get from Saskatoon to Winnipeg.
In the meantime the trail has gone back to its original Trans Canada Trail name and is sporting a new logo symbolising the connectivity the trail represents.

Mistakes were made – Gill would have struggled with the handlebars on this side 🤔

Lead times for some categories of bikes here in Europe is more than a year! You did well in securing one.
